CFD needs to show the entire board
The CFD will only show one smart lane at a time. I would like to see all of the lanes at the same time and individually. My board has 36 smart lanes. I need to be able to see each smart lane separately and at the program level I need to see the cumulative status.

Hi,
Please can you elaborate as what will the sequence in which the smart lanes will be displayed and do all the card moves accross this 36 smart lanes before arhcival.

What's the status here? This item has been "under review" for more than a year now...

I totally agree with Lasse. A less finely subdivided but completely displayed system would work much better - at least for our tasks which are rarely dividable relating to their state of progress. Not sure if we would need the archive to be shown there but it makes sense to me if you're trying to analyze your systems balance.

I also don't like the current CFD charts. I would like to see a chart for an entire board across all lanes but with only three categories: Backlog, In Progress, Done (incl. Archive). That way I could see whether my overall system is stable. I am not interested in all the different sub-stages that cards move through.

I've exactly the same need: show all board lane in the CFD report
I've organized the kanban in Portfolio board (Epic) and Program board (UserStory)
At Portfolio level, I've used the smart Portfolio Lane for track all the program level modifications: CFD report in Portfolio Lane shows all the epics
I'm not able to do the same at Program level where I have multiple lanes (with the same workflow) one for each DevOps team of the organization BUT no smart lanes

Thanks for the question.
I have a bit of a unique situation in that the program I am working on involves 36 projects that all have the same workflow. What I had hoped to do was use one board with 36 smart lanes and then each lane would have same sequence of columns to represent the workflow.
Then from a reporting perspective, I had hoped to show the entire board progress in a CFD but also be able to filter the CFD by smart lanes.
So I guess to answer you question - the smart lanes would not be shown in any sequence. It would be a single CFD showing all smart lanes OR a single CFD showing a subset of smart lanes. Today I think you can only show one smart lane at a time.
