  3. TODO tasks as child cards

    In order to streamline the approach with working with hierarchical work items and to bring greater flexibility - it would be useful to unify the approaches in viewing and managing TODOs and Child cards.

    Background:

    Currently it's possible to organize hierarchical work items in two ways:
    a) As cards with TODO subtasks
    b) As cards with parent-child links


    • That may lead to some confusion (e.g. "which of both options should I choose?");

    • And difficulty (e.g. "I started with option (a) but now I see that option (b) is more appropriate").

    Some ideas:

  4. Loading of Kanban Board

    When the kanban board is loaded instead of loading the kanban board in static view shoiwng lanes and the card ,it would be great if there cards are shown moving into the each lane is a group.

  5. Enhance the UX to visually help communicate information

    Examples include


    • a legend of what card type a color represents

    • When WIP limits are reached, the lane is highlighted not just the number

    • Priority indicator through stars is not effective, its hard differentiate between low, med, high...

    • Use badges above the title to represent information about the card: size, priority, class, etc. (Make it configurable.)

    There is no log for due date change, not in the activity tab and not in the daily report (mail).
    I think we must have some audit for it.

  7. Add capability to track failure demand trends.

    You could expand the tag cloud concept by creating a new graph which would show defect trends. So, perhaps there are 10 items in the tag cloud which correspond to my defect taxonomy. I want to be able to show that we are decreasing the amount of failure demand in our system. A histogram or line graph showing how the say ten items in my defect taxonomy are trending over time would help give visibility. It would be helpful to be able to select the items in the defect taxonomy I am interested in.

  8. Internet Explorer 11 compatibility mode

    I had to put IE in compatibility mode to get your user interface to work properly. I highly recommend that you visit the modern.ie website for tips on how to better support modern version of IE. It's pretty discouraging to try a new product and have to revert your browser back to older standards.

  9. With in each column, be able to group cards by certain types

    In a column with a large number of cards, it would be helpful to group cards by priority, size, tags, etc. to help focus visibility on the type of work that is going on.

    Why isn't there a series of keyboard shortcuts to quickly create cards, etc.? It would be really really useful to have them and save time.

  11. Improve Email ID and Login ID management

    In order a single person to be able to easier register and work with multiple accounts it would be nice to:


    • Allow using characters like + in email ID and login ID. This is in order to be able to register accounts with addresses like e.g. nikolov.javor+org1@gmail.com and nikolov.javor+org2@gmail.com


    • It's not very clear now why Login ID should be a valid e-mail address? When using multiple accounts, in order to avoid the user of having multiple e-mail addresses: it would be good to allow Login ID which is not an e-mail address.

    Please make it remember my filter settings
    Please remember my slider bar size settings
    Please provide a feature that allows me to see all my tickets in all lanes and auto-minimizes the lanes that I don't have tickets in.
    Please make minimized lanes take up less room.
    Please improve performance when board has lots of tickets

  16. Avoid referring to people as "Resources"

    The practice of referring to people as "resources" is something which I'm not quite keen on (https://dzone.com/articles/people-are-resilience-creators-not-resources).

    So it would be nice if we can have a different terminology within SwiftKanban UI in order to avoid promoting that practice.

  17. Provide ability to export the Release's tasks burn-down chart

    The Release tab provides a nice burn-down chart of the To-Do tasks.

    I would like to export the graph to excel (graph + its data), so I can add it to weekly reports.
    Currently, I can only take screenshot for the chart...

  19. Get consolidated report with all Cards and their linked Tasks/To-Do

    I would like to get a consolidated Report with all Cards and their related To-Do tasks, including the estimated/ actual/ remaining/ time per task.

    The Report should also include the Archived Cards with the above info.

    The current 'Timesheet Report' only show the In-Progress tasks.

    such a report would enable better tracking and monitoring of a release status / progress, and for early detection of bottlenecks.

  20. on the To-do screen make it auto-size the "name" column.

    I sometimes try to add status, metadata, next steps in the Name column so I can keep context.

    Or else add a "notes" field for the To-Dos. Maybe that holds 2000 characters. I would like that too.

    I have a picture of this but it doesnt look like your feedback form accepts attachments.
