Allow us to sort our cards by Rank
On the EHS Projects Kanban Board - Please allow us to sort our cards by Rank. I have about 20 cards under the Execution column and would like to be able to order the cards based on the ranking. This will allow me to not have to look through the list to find my top 6 cards I am working on.
1 voteHi Lou,
There is a board sorter feature available where you can sort the board cards by Rank. Please try that and let us know your feedback.

Sticky Filters
Could filters stick through login sessions?
Typically I filter my board for the fabric types I work on/interested in but it resets everyday when I refresh/relogin to the board. Can they stick day to day unless manually cleared/reset?
I'm using Firefox
6 votesHi Mike,
This feature is already part of product. If you save the board filter with certain criteria and apply on the board. The board filter will remain persistent across sessions.
This option is collapsed on the board filter under the down arrow ‘V’ icon at the bottom of the filter. Please check the below help section for further details.

Create a Card Template
It would be nice to have the ability to save a card template. I have projects that I need to go through my board every week and I would like to not have to re-imput on the information into a new card and re-set my "to-do-list' every week.
28 votesThere are two options available in SwiftKanban help with this -
1. “Clone a Card”
- You can create a card on the board with all information you’d like to have available each time a new card of that type is created – and keep it as a “template”.
- Each time you have to create an actual card to work on, select the “Options” menu on this template card – and select the “Clone card” option – and you will get all the details in the new card.More on this here – https://www.digite.com/knowledge-base/swiftkanban/article/work-with-cards-on-kanban-board-2/#clonecard
2. To-Do List Template
You can also go to the Board Editor and the “Configure” each card-type to set up a standard set of tasks (To-Dos) for each card type. Every time someone then creates a card on the board, you automatically get the set of To-Dos you defined for that card type.

URL Parameters for Deep Linking?
I have noticed there are some handy URL parameters that can be passed in to navigate to a specific card in SwiftKanban.
For example https://login.swiftkanban.com/pui/index.jsp#projectid=<PROJID>&itemid=<CARDID> will open the board and flash the selection indicator for the ItemID one passes in.
I’m wondering if there are any other URL parameters that could be used to start with a specific filter or card view?
For Example – pass in a parameter at the end of the URL something like &linkedView at the end of the URL to jump straight to the linked cards view?
Or &Release=<ReleaseName)> to go to a board…1 voteHi Sam,
We have added a feature recently where you right click on the card there is ‘Copy Card URL’ which copies the URL on the clipboard. When user access this URL through browser the board is open and the card is highlighted.

Enable Manual Card Arrangement - Easier Sorting
I would like to be able to sort cards on the fly. While managing a team, I often need to visually arrange tasks for multiple users in order of priority. I don't want to have to open each card and apply some kind of attribute. I'd like to just drag the cards around and easily order them as I need.
1 voteHi Kiel,
There is already a board sorter option which sorts the board cards based on multiple card attributes request you to try and provide the feedback

Visual time limit per lane
We would like to set a time limit per lane and have a visual signal if a card sits in lane too long. This is critical for monitoring Standard Work timings and allows us to 'pull the Andon cord' when work sits too long in a lane. We track phases of work in actual Value Stream phases (Prep,Deploy,Handoff) rather than Ready,Doing,Done. This allows us to see globally were every project is in the workflow.
3 votesHi Bors,
We already have due date field on the card and there is a board policy i.e “Highlight cards when they are within __days of their Deadline (Due Date/ Release Date)” which will highlight the cards approaching or crossed due date.
Do let us know if the above feature suffice you need or not.

To Do terminology is inconsistent
In some places the To-Do list is called something different. On the card, when I hover over the To-Do list tool, it is called Tasks. When I click on that tool it takes me to the To-Do tab of the card. When I hover over the Add tool, it says Add To-Do. It should be referred to as To-Do everywhere.
1 voteHi Elisia,
We have updated the hover in the latest release.

Allow the option to pin the autohide toolbar
While the auto-hiding of the toolbar is nice for visibility of cards, especially on smaller displays, it would be beneficial to be able to pin it when actively using the board. This is especially true when the board is not on a single monitor system. On dual monitors, it is easy to overshoot the popup toolbar when the board is not on the leftmost screen.
2 votesHi Rob,
This feature is implemented and now the user can pin the sliding tool bar.

Concept of parent-child and other links
Why can't a child have more than one parent? What is the use of "other links"? I can't see on a card, that it has "other" links, right?
1 voteHi Mathias,
Other link option to be used to create relationship between 2 cards where there no hierarchy involved. An example of this when you ‘Clone’ card where you create a clone of current card and maintain relationship between both cards or even duplicate cards.

Possiblity of displaying custom field(s) on the card?
Hello,
I added a new card type "Goal" to my account. I would love to see the new added field "Year" on the card when displayed on the Kanban board and not just solely in the list view.
Is that possible?
I also couldn't change the position (13) in the list view after saving the card even though I added it on the 4th position of the list. Can I manually change the list position?
Thanks,
Mathias1 voteHi Mathias,
For changing the list position go the Admin→Setting→I form Editor>Select you card type→List view>Click on List position>Change the position and Save the changes.
Displaying customer field is also requested by other users and it is already added in our backlog

How to update existing cards not clearly explained in the Help
I discovered that the import uses the GUID field in the import file to find existing cards. I did not see this information in the Help file (I was trying to use Title, Id in the Excel file or Unique ID from the card properties to figure out what the tool was matching on).
So I had to first export the cards I wanted to update, then make my changes to the export file (with the GUID column filled in) and import the updated export file. These steps are not clearly explained in the Help. Can you add this detail…

Have an option on cards viewed in the inbox to jump to their board
It would be nice to have an option on the inbox row (primarily on "View All Items") and on the card itself that would allow a user to jump to the board that the card is located in.
By adding this, it will make it much easier to move tasks into different columns on their respective boards, as the current process in "clicks" is as follows:
- See the card and open it to see the task.
- Close the card.
- Click the hamburger icon.
- Click projects.
- Click the board the card belonged to.
The new process would be:
- See the card…

to not remove the CRLF from the blocked card reasons.
When someone reads the block card reason in the tool-tip or in the activity log the CRLF are removed. So some of the formatting is lost.

This is resolved now you will be able to read multiple lines in blocking comments

Make adding people to the board more intuitive
The current set of steps to add a user to a board is:
1. Hover over the board name
2. Click Team Member
3. Click People Icon on the side
I find that most managers do not understand how to add team members without explanation.
It would be better to have an icon on the sidebar with a plus and the people so that they could add users without clicking to the Team Member page.3 votesHi Katie,
Some releases back we have provided add and invite functionality where the user can add and invite the user at the same time.

Easily linking to external systems
Currently we using a competing tool but are keen to work with your tool (after the recommendation of David Anderson) After playing around for a couple of hours one of the biggest draw backs that I have found is the lack of ability to use an identifier to link to an external system. We have an Issue Management system (and an in-house customer support system), accessed by a unique number/url. I understand that a link could be added into the description as a "link" but this is not easily visible on the card, and would need many "clicks" to get…
